Role: cluster_create

Description

This role creates a simple dual-node PowerHA cluster with one resource group on IBM AIX. It doesn’t configure any volume groups into the resource group.

The role is part of PowerHA SystemMirror for AIX collection.

Prerequisites

• IBM AIX 7.2 or IBM AIX 7.3

• IBM PowerHA SystemMirror for AIX 7.2.X

• Ansible 2.13 or newer

• Python 3.9

Inventory requirements

Hosts where PowerHA cluster will be created must be in one of two groups:

• node1

• node2

The hosts from node1 group will be primary nodes in the cluster.

Variables

cluster_create_nodes	array of dict	[]	Cluster nodes. Each item must have two fields: name for node’s name and ip for IP address of the node.
cluster_create_service	array of dict	[]	Service IP labels. Each item must have two fields: name for the service label and ipfor IP address of the service label.
cluster_create_app	dict	see below	Application controller resource in PowerHA clsuter.
cluster_create_rg	dict	see below	Resource group resource in PowerHA cluster.

cluster_create_caa_disk

The variable defines which method is used to find the disks for CAA repository. Depending on the value of cluster_create_caa_disk, the role analyzes the values in variable cluster_create_caarepo_luns.

It can be set to the following values:

Value	Meaning
ldev	Variable cluster_create_caarepo_luns contains list of LDEVs.
disk	Variable cluster_create_caarepo_luns contains list of disk names.
pvid	Variable cluster_create_caarepo_luns contains list of PVIDs.
uuid	Variable cluster_create_caarepo_luns contains list of UUIDs.
